Under the instruction of the Royal family and goverment, the first British fleet headed by Captain Cook set sail from Britain to discover lands in the south pacific to invade and colonise and set up a penal colony and transport mostly Irish petty criminals . (the English hated the Irish).
By the 1700's Britain had already invaded Ireland and Scotland and the British jails were overflowing with people, mostly the working class english and the Irish people. Most of the Irish jailed in England in the 1700's were for minor crimes like stealing eg;(a loaf of bread), were given a long jail sentence and of course the British jails were overflowing....so the British Royal family and goverment sent Captain James Cook to discover and colonise (Genocide) the people on these Islands in the Pacific region with the intention of setting up penal colonies, which would solve England's overflowing crowded jails.

invaded Australia in 1770 and set up a penalty colony (a jail) 8 years later in New South Wales in 1788. declaring in Latin "Terra Nullius" which translated means "this land belongs to no-one".
When the British invaded Australia, they brought European diseases with them and tens of thousands of Aboriginal people died, from these diseases, (first Genocide). In 1794 mass killings of Aboriginal people took place by British soldiers (rum corp.)and police and free settlers. 10,000 Aboriginal people died in 400 massacres.
It panned out very differently in Tasmania, the British soldiers and police fought against the Aboriginal people in a civil war that lasted 10 years....these are facts in our history that have been written by historians.
Anyway Genocide is more then diseases and mass killings. There was laws passed that stated Aboriginal people were not allowed to speak the language of their clan and it was enforced by violence or jail sentences. "Stolen Generation" Goverment passed laws to steal Aboriginal children from their families to assimilate them into the white invaders culture, a term used for colonised people, to divide them and conquer them, to break the human spirit. No identity, divide them,put poison in the streams and rivers they drink from, pay their wages in tobacco and alcohol. That should kill them all.
Oh I forgot raise their hopes and then kucknthem in the guts.
The fact is First Australians are succeeding after all the unforgivable acts of hatred and racism, they are successful, because their culture is a strong culture, their elders are strong, they have a "Lore" of their land and people. 250 years of colonisation has been all lies and Genocide and First Australians have stated," now is that time for "Truth telling and Treaty" . "White Australia up to now have devastated us and our beautiful country", we are taking back our land to nuture and heal and our people to heal our intergenerational traumas.
